URGENT MEASURES TO REACTIVATE THE ECONOMY IN EEUU

Personal credit reactivation, mortgage installments prolongation and employment of migrant labour are three key factors for the economic reactivacion in the medium run.

Indeed, in a country where most of the purchases of movable and immovable property are made to credit, is essential to have a credit system that really works. In this sense, it is important that the three credit bureaus not evaluated payment mistakes caused by the crisis in the last two years. They can instead establish a parallel table where to stay this record for legal purposes, but not affect the granting of new credits.

HOW IS SURVIVING THE ECONOMY IN EEUU

In a country where economic indicators do not grow, an increase in income of the majority of large American companies is given by a factor not tabulated but very real: stolen from others.

In a healthy and growing Economy, an increase in revenues is mainly due to an increase in production, productivity, sales, exports, or the overall demand for goods and services. Since this is not the present case of United States, the change more important perceived in the country is an increase in consumer prices and taxes.
Basic services like power and water are increased frequently. Surcharges for alleged arrears on mortgages and credit cards comprise the most extraordinary revenue of these companies. The law firms swarm everywhere doing a party with despair of the public. Insurance companies cancelling and imposing prices on policies at will.
Because of all this, the public insists on making telephone calls to those companies. In many cases they fails because automated systems  are configured so that the consumer not achieve its objective. When finally the company is contacted, the phone call, if not hanged, is transferred to multiple extensions until you "see" the appropriate employee since the first served, did it in another country.
If we do not take urgent measures to allow United States recover its domestic manufacturing path  and reduce the deficit in its trade balance increasing national exports, a catastrophical crisis could whip to the country and topple the dollar as a global currency sign.
Measures should be taken on an emergency basis without waiting for the creation of parliamentary committees or bright political dissertations.

Excessive election expenses

In this past election day the candidates spent the pittance of $ 4.000 million. A truly effective, creative and exemplary in this time of crisis would have been to legislate for any candidate for public office to invest in his community an amount equal to that he was willing to spend on his campaign.For example, one candidate from Florida spent from personal funds the gross amount of $ 76 million in his campaign. Had been a great help for schools, hospitals and libraries if this candidate had donated $ 38 million for the purchase of computers, medicines and books. The voters have been getting expensive advertisements in the mail when we are unemployed and do not reach the income to cover expenses.According to politicians, on Tuesday, November 2, was the most important day of 2010. Apparently, politics is the most important thing than now exists and not the economic situation we are facing right now, precisely because of the lack of political action.

HOW TO CREATE JOBS

We can and should encourage domestic job creation. A classic example is the postal service. Far from laying off staff or close offices, it should be exactly the opposite, that is, open more offices and hire staff twice. The Post Office will have big losses? True, but 300 000 employees will be recruited nationally instead of the 100 thousand who are fired up now. This kind of subsidy is more efficient than any action because they directly stimulate the demand for goods and services, encouraging savings, investment and the creation of new businesses. Really the postal service have losses, not only for online competition, but for having held 35.000 million dollars to cover health benefits of staff that will retire within 20 years. The congressional mandate that requires massive amounts withheld should be reviewed with the purpose of solving the crisis of the postal service.Another example? Legislate so that the domestic phone calls should be received within the United States. If the goods or services were purchased in the U.S., any problems with them should be resolved in the U.S. The requirement of the call centers in the U.S. would create thousands of jobs.How many times have we made a long line at a bank because there are only two cashiers? Should be legislated that any corporation that receives in a branch 10.000 people a day or more than $ 10 million in the same period, have adequate staff to serve the public. This also would create thousands of jobs.The main problem we have now is that rather than engaged in creating jobs, we are determined to reduce the circulation in the hands of the public. Proof of this is what many cities like Miami are doing: putting video cameras at traffic lights to punish offenders. The income they earn  in this area is inversely proportional to the benefit they receive. That is, while the city government is enriched by the fines, companies in those same cities are impoverished because that money was left to expend in their business. And if businesses fail, there is loss of income for the city and the state due to lack of licenses revenue.The measures taken (and not taken) so far only are leading us to catastrophe.
